The Fall school will be held at Skibotn field station. This remote conference facility of UiT was built in the early in 1980s as a field station for researchers in the natural sciences. Nowadays it is primarily used for conferences, courses and retreats. We hope that the remote location and the beautiful, pristine nature surrounding Skibotn will keep our minds fresh and open and promote the exchange of new mathematical ideas.
Skibotn is located around 130km from Tromsø. To reach it, we will jointly take a bus on Monday morning, the first day of the school. This means that participants will have to arrive on Sunday and can use this day for sight-seeing in Tromsø and/or to buy snacks. We will coordinate the arrival and departure times with all participants in due time.
The station has a limited capacity with 38 beds in total across 3 cabins. Rooms will be shared between 2, 3 and 4 people. All cabins have a bathroom, shower and a laundry and drying cabinet. Meals will be prepared by Skibotn’s staff.
